Wilderness First Responder

8am-6pm weekend days

 

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is widely recognized as the “gold standard” medical course for guides, trip leaders, camp staffs and other outdoor professionals. This course is demanding and comprehensive and covers a variety of topics from patient assessment and treatment of illnesses and traumatic injuries to the logistics of providing care in remote environments and foreign countries.

 

Our Instructors are all experienced professionals who donʼt just teach, but are currently practicing wilderness EMTs, Paramedics and Physicians. In order to accommodate the schedules of students and working professionals, this course will take place over two weekends and six weeknights. Our course centers around hands-on, scenario-based instruction with an emphasis on the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines.

 

Upon successful completion of course requirements, participants will receive a three-year certification as a Wilderness First Responder, a waterproof photo credential and a limited edition T-shirt
