Hourly Rentals

Hourly rentals are held on the small & scenic millpond impoundment at West Point on the Eno Park.

Canoes  $12 per hour/per boat

Kayaks $8 per hour/per boat

Group Rentals of 8+ people - advanced registration available and recommend

(Recreational and Jackson Rec kayaks are available, other kayak styles can be requested in advance)

 

Kayak Primer

Every Saturday and Sunday our kayak instructors will be available the teach 45-Minute to 1 hour instructionals.  These “Primers” cover basic kayak nomenclature, paddle grip, and stroke mechanics to create a basic working knowledge of kayaking.  These sessions take place in our recreational or Jackson Rec kayaks unless another specific boat type is requested.  At the end of the instructional, participants will have the option of kayaking for an extra 30 minutes on their own to explore the West Point Millpond Impoundment.  Advance registration is required (call 919-416-1200 to register).

 $12 per person (+ hourly rental fee)

 

West Point Outpost Family Instructionals

Every Saturday and Sunday our kayak instructors will be available to offer our “Kayak Primer” specifically for families with young kids.  These 45-Minute to 1 hour instructionals are a great way to introduce kayaking to kids ranging from 5-15 years old.   These “Primers” cover basic kayak nomenclature, paddle grip, and stroke mechanics to create a basic working knowledge of kayaking to create a positive foundation for future kayaking interest and experiences.   During these classes we will utilize boats specifically designed for kids (the Jackson Mini Trippers).  All children must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian during these sessions.  At the end of the instructional, families will have the option of kayaking for a bit on their own to explore the West Point Millpond Impoundment.  Minimum of 3 registrants required.
