NC is full of phenomenal paddling destinations.  This series of trips offer a way to explore some of our states special places with expert naturalists or river advocates from partner organizations such as the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS), Roanoke River Partners (RRP),  and Tar River Conservancy (TRC)

'Support Your Local Rivers' Trips
All levels of paddling experience welcome

Join Frog Hollow as we paddle to benefit various organizations working to help protect our regions water: Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC), Eno River Association (ERA), and Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association (ECWA).  During these trips we will paddle various rivers and lakes learning about their significant natural resources and history, all while experiencing their beauty from a canoe or kayak.  A percentage of the profits from these trips will be donated to the organizations listed above.

Paddle Under the Stars with
Morehead Planetarium & Science Center
All levels of paddling experience welcome

Join Frog Hollow and Morehead Planetarium Staff to learn about the night sky on these       exceptional evenings.  Participants will enjoy the Morehead Staff's extensive knowledge of the night sky while kicking back in canoes or kayaks on Jordan Lake.  A portion of the profits from these trips will go to the Morehead Planetarium.

Moonlight & Starlight Night Paddles
All levels of paddling experience welcome

On the Friday closest to the full moon or the new moon join us for a nighttime paddle.        Discover what the evening hours have to offer!  Leave your worries behind as we set out in canoes to enjoy the wildlife, soak in the moonrays & starshine, and experience the sounds of nature.  These very leisurely paddles are suitable for just about anyone.  These take place on Falls Lake, while our "Paddle Under the Stars" Trips (see above) take place on Jordan Lake.

Birding Paddle Trips
All levels of paddling experience welcome

Get out on these great bodies of water with a Frog Hollow birding expert!  These trips take a very slow pace so there is plenty of time for birding.  Each of these trips are part of the Support Your Local Rivers Trip Campaign.

Monthly River Trips

Enjoy the challenge of Class I, II , and possibly III Piedmont White Water!  Locations for these trips alternate between the Haw, Cape Fear and Neuse Rivers.  Including shuttle time, etc, these trips will often last up to 5 hours or more.  To learn more about taking a kayak or canoe on the Haw River, Cape Fear River or Neuse River CLICK HERE.

Prerequisites for Haw & Cape Fear - Participants should be comfortable and have previous moving water river experience in a canoe or kayak . Please contact us if you have any questions about your ability to enjoy and participate in these trips.

Doggy Paddles
All sociable dogs welcome

Get Fido into canoeing!  These often amusing, 1.5 to 2 hour paddles take place on flat water.  Get some pointers on how to handle your best friend's unexpected impulses so you can have a fun and safe day on the water.  Dog owners must qualify for registration by answering a handful of questions pertaining to their dog over the phone.
$25 per person

Private Trips
Our staff has intimate knowledge of paddling throughout the Triangle Region. We can coordinate the perfect trip for your private group.  We have catered to the needs of a large variety of groups (friends, elementary to high school age classes, families, fraternities & sororities, Scout Troops & Expolerer Posts, people with physical limitations, etc.) Location, day, and time - the choice is yours.  Give us a call for more information (we generally need 2 weeks notice to set up private trips)
