The 10,000 Islands area of the Everglades is a remote and beautiful region. It’s not uncommon on these Expeditions to encounter dolphin and manatee, along with an amazing diversity of other coastal life. These Expeditions are organized as outdoor leadership style programs. We will travel through a variety ecosystems, searching out the perfect island beaches to camp on, all while learning about the natural history of the 10,000 Islands, coastal navigation, outdoor education techniques, leadership, minimizing our impact on natural areas, and communing with the natural grandeur of the 10,000 Islands.

Please be aware that overnights and expeditions have limited availability and it is not unusual that they need to be scheduled at least 6 months in advance.

Trip Description

• Duration: 3 - 6 day options available

• Group Size: 6 - 10 people

• Terrain: Tidal channels, streams, and islands along the Gulf of Mexico

• Difficulty: Challenges here are weather dependent. Paddling in this area can go from leisurely to extremely challenging at any moment. Paddlers should be comfortable in kayaks and canoes, and be ready for occasional long mile days, as well as early or late paddle times depending on tides and daily destinations.
